Sing a song (10 minutes)
- 5 Little Monkeys; Alice; Banana Song; Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes
(choose from above, or another song)
Question Ball (25 minutes)
- Sit in a circle (Throw the ball, and the catcher must answer a question)
i.e. What is your name? What animals do you like?What colour do you like?
Visual Game (25 minutes)
e.g. Teach animal names (an example only)
- Use a jigsaw, and get the student to repeat: dog, cat, chicken, duck, cow, monkey, pig, sheep… etc
- Let the children mimic animal sounds
(nb Thai animal sounds are not always the same as western animal sounds) - Separate jigsaw, say an animal name, and let the children find the correct piece
Alternatives: Games, Puzzles, Photos, Blocks/Lego (Try to be creative)
Drawing (30 minutes)
- Draw the same image for each child
- The children tear coloured paper into small pieces, and stick them to the drawing
Separate into 3-4 small groups, if necessary
