Outdoor programme
The Outdoor programme is based around construction and renovation: as such, the work is manual labour - ranging from building water tanks in remote villages, or laying pipes from distant water sources; to digging terraced rice fields for the most needy members of village communities. Work can be changed at short notice, as priorities shift. Activities are can be dependent on the weather, the time of year, and the funds available. Accommodation is a mixture of homestay in project villages, and onsite at the foundation's base outside Chiang Rai - homestays generally occur at least twice a month for 4-5 days each. During disasters, such as flood or earthquake, the need to flexible is very important as we are working to save lives, and livelihoods.
