When necessary, staff stop the work they are doing and come together to do some maintenance around the foundation. Work depends on the need: for instance - gardening, clearing leaves, collecting sand, putting up tents for events, or preparing for visitors.
Volunteers aren't always expected to join in as the work takes place during the working day, but if you have time, the staff are always happy and grateful if you do.
